Dell wins

Michael Dell, General Manager of the Computer manufacturing giant DELL, continues to strengthen its share of the market, though Hewlett-Packard seemed  to have enviedDell's position as PC leader. We hope to continue to dominate the market,  Michael Dell declared when he addressed the World Economic Forum in  Davos. We’re number 1 for this year and we’re number 1 for the enterprise market, HP isn’t number 1 on any of the five principal markets on the planet. DELL, the Texas based company predicted business figures at 11.5 Billion US dollar by January 2004, and a clear profit per share of 28 cents.  DELL which realizes the essentials of its figures from Personal Computers, diversified into popular electronics, while keeping its direct sale methods. Other than PC, Laptops and Printers, DELL has moved to Digital portables and flat screen TV platform

Dell Introduces High-Performance Multimedia Powerhouse Notebook

Dell launched the InspironTM  9100 notebook aimed at providing a mobile solution to demanding on-the-go enthusiasts who wish to unwire from their desktop without sacrificing performance. Customers now can choose a multimedia notebook computer that easily handles digital content creation, video editing and gaming. "Our customers tell us that they want a high-performance notebook capable of handling intense applications and complex multimedia functions, including graphics-demanding digital content manipulating capability," said Gretchen Miller, director of notebook marketing, Dell client products. "The Inspiron 9100 is that system."

With prices starting at $1,549, the Inspiron 9100 is powered by Intel's Pentium 4 processor starting at 2.8GHz with Hyper-Threading capability to help improve the execution of large workloads, enable faster response times for Internet and e-Business applications and enhance the customer experience.

Advanced graphics performance is powered by the ATI MOBILITYTM RADEONTM  9700 graphics (64MB or optional 128MB) and an eye-opening 15.4-inch wide-screen display. The Inspiron 9100 also features integrated subwoofer sound. A host of software is standard on the Inspiron 9100, including Microsoft XP Home, WordPerfect Productivity Pack, Dell Media Experience, Dell Jukebox, Dell Picture Studio, Dell Movie Studio and Dell Security Center.
